Don’t be fooled, Windows RT does come with Word, Excel, and Powerpoint preinstalled on the tablet. You’ll find the programs you’re used to, such as Paint and Notepad, and have the normal Windows Control Panel. Windows 8 Pro tablets will usually last between four to five hours of constant use. Windows RT tends to last all day and if at idle or lightly used, a couple of days of use are possible.
The desktop looks nearly identical to regular Windows 8 Pro so you won’t notice any difference there either. The RT tablets are also much thinner as they run cooler and lighter as well. The difference is by about a half-inch and half a pound in weight.
